The sunflower is a DIGITAL STAMP. I colored it with oil pastels. The punched leaves where highlighted by using the sponging effect. Adhered the sentiment, added the ribbon.

Purple is one of my favorite colors. Stamped image is done in copper acrylic. Flowers and leaves tend to dominate my work. I always end up using them.

The flowers on the cardstock are from a stencil. This butterfly is a digital stamp. Stamped with a carved wooden stamp on the butterfly.

Sponged the edges of the cardstock with red ink for the final effect.

After a long long time I created a card. It feels good to be back . Ive made something after 3 months. The first term of MBA is really hectic. We are loaded with assignments and have absolutely no time to do any other thing. I hope to get more time soon.

PHOTO FRAME ON CANVAS BOARD

I used a canvas board as the base.Used acrylic paint to give the background and for stamping. Sponge is the best applicator for larger surface and the finishing is pretty good.
I matched the photo frame with the ribbons and the sentiment and adhered the punched flowers and leaves.

FLORAL BORDER

This was a customised order. The roses are quilled and the leaves and other flowers are punched.

A little sponging also creates very natural look. The punched flowers and leaves are sponged at the edges.And they gave an entirely different look after being given the shading effect.

RUFFLED RIBBON

The yellow panel was stamped, distressed and sponged. The ribbon was done by pulling the thread after the running stitch was complete. Adhered it with Fevicol MR. I had to use buttons in this card. Used it for the centre of the flowers.

JAPANESE INSPIRATION

I made this card for the Inspiration challenge IC222 . The picture below is my inspiration.
This was a fun card. I adhered the two coloured papers together and made the fan.

I made this flower using five pieces of a leaf punch. Very easy. If you have this punch you must definitely try it out.

I made this card for Color Combination challenge 260 in Splitcoaststampers and the Paper garden challenge.

Stamped the snowflake on the main cs as well as the panels and adhered the panel over it. Used black strip and punched snowflake to complete the card.

QUILLED PEACOCKS

Quilling is going a long way on my craft table. I tried the peacocks with a little variation in the colours. This card came from the inspiration of Inna's Quilled Peacock.

I did my bit of changes. I used three colours of strips(1/2 strip of each colour for each feather) and stuck them together and quilled it.

The eye is a tight roll of white and black (1/4th strip each colour)stuck together and inserted in the head piece later while sticking on the main card.

It is time consuming but worth trying. I would recommend all the quillers out there to give it a try.

QUILLED FLORALS

Lets start with the tutorial

Cut 3 pieces of strip depending on the card size and the desired look. Turn the ends of the strips with your fingers.

Use 1 full strip for the larger flower's bud and half a strip for the smaller one. Glue it into a loose coil and press it from two points to form the shape. Adhere it to the tip of each stem.

1 strip for the larger petals and half a strip for the smaller one. Form the leaf shape and adhere it under the blue bud.Adhere the leaves. 1 strip for a leaf. Your card is ready!

BIRTHDAY INVITATIONS

This was made to order . I had to make 50 birthday invitations. I learnt a lot from this project.

Stamped and cut out the bunnies.

This is a 7x7 cm panel. I sponged the edges with red ink and the greenery was done with punched leaves.

Adhered the bunny only from the centre only so that it gives a jumping look and doesn't look very flat.

The room was full of these cards.

I drew and cut out the mushroom in two separate papers ie. dark pink and brown. Painted the white spots on the mushroom and the grass. Used faux stiching on the mushroom as well as the grass. The picture below was my inspiration.

I made this card for 4 challenges:

CAS7- Use punches
WT219- Stamp it again (stamped the same image twice)
CAS15- Used black and white and only orange(from the list)
LSC221- Circle of life. Used 2 circles in the card.

I used the REVERSE MASKING TECHNIQUE for the orange circles.Cut out strips of black paper and tore it on one side. Adhered it and added orange punched flower with black beads.

ENJOY THE BEACH LSC220 CHALLENGE

This is my card for LSC220 Life's a beach (SPLITCOASTSTAMPERS)

I sponged the sky and the land. Drew the coconut tree and painted it for the opaque look.

The sentiment is handwritten. I bordered it with the scrap(the scrap after the pencil is sharpened) of the rotating handle pencil sharpener. I love the look of it and just cant throw it away.

Flower Just for you.. A sketch challenge

Here is the sketch for the CS228 challenge in Splitcoaststampers.

This is the card I made. I made 16 flowers the other day and was wanting to use it somewhere. So here it is.

I cut out circles with the zigzag scissors,then drew the lines on the circle for the petals, held 8 circles at a time and cut them making sure not to reach the middle of the circle. Curved the edges of the petals, sponged with pink ink and added the pink punched flower.

ROCK N ROLL TECHNIQUE CARD CAS14

CANVAS PROJECT

I made this gift for my parents' 25th wedding anniversary. I used a 8" X 10"canvas for this one. Here's a tutorial.

I used an acrylic paint(pearl finish) and covered the whole canvas. I used a sponge. The application becomes really simple. Then started stamping it randomly.

Completed stamping. I used another acrylic paint to stamp. Clean the stamp as soon as you finish stamping.

Added ribbons.

This is the frame I made for their picture. The flowers and leaves are punched. The edges of the frame is sponged . Mom iswearing a saree(a traditional Indian attire) and a lot of jewellery.

Completed the project.

OPEN SWING CARD

This is an OPEN SWING CARD. The yellow panel is a movable part.The green panel is adhered t0 the base cardstock and the yellow panel is pushed in without adhering. The area where all the 3 carstocks are together is punched and a brad is attached to it so that the yellow panel can be moved.

This is how it looks when slided a little.. The message can be written on the base cardstock.Its a fun card .. You must try it out.

Here I made the main image on another paper and adhered it to the main cardstock.. Bordered it with mosaic overlapping the main image paper too... outlined the yellow mosaic with sky blue 3d outliner from Fevicryl.

CRAYON RESIST TECHNIQUE

This is a card I made with the CRAYON RESIST TECHNIQUE.(click for tutorial)

I drew the leaves on the white card stock and outlined them with white crayon.. used two inks(blue and red) and sponged the front part of the card stock..The parts which had crayon on them didnt catch ink. Then I cut out a leaf from a thick green hand made paper and stuck it to the pale yellow paper which was decorated with the tendril(used a 3D outliner from Fevicryl) and a simple tag and adhered to the main card stock .

I highlighted the main image(cake) with oil pastels,glitter pens and colored the candles with markers... the stars as the borders are stamped 10 times... then highlighted with dark pink glitter pen..

Here is my card for the DCB Challenge

I used the SU! Stars & swirls stamp here. Used the thumping technique. Added the sentiment, for the ribbon I cut a slot on the fold line and brought the ribbon through it outside.Assembled evrything together. The sentiment is sponged at the corners.

A layout And the Card

Just made a layout early this morning. And made this card with the layout. The image is from SU! Tags & more. I useda COPPER 3D outliner on the bow. Did lots of layering for the first time. Also stamped the DP with SU stars and swirls.

I cut the Design Paper in this shaped and adhered the rectangle on the main maroon card stock. Then I folded the triangle and adhered it onto the rectangle as seen above.

MONOCHROME YELLOW CARD (CAS10)

Here is the card I made for the CAS10 challenge on Splitcoaststampers.Here Ive used two shades of yellow.. CHROME YELLOW and YELLOW OCHRE This flower is a part of a stencil I have. I used water colors and SPONGED it.(tubes-they are thick paste and dont bleed when used on stencils)Then i added those beads and the sentiment is hand written.

This is a close up. These beads add good dimension wherever used.

QUILLED FLOWERS

This one's a combination of quilling and punch craft.To my suprise I started this in the afternoon and finished it by evening.. never thought I would. quilled roses are my favourite but this time I wanted to try something new. Im happy!!!! Im adding a few more pictures of this one, a few close-ups.

Tight rolls are so much fun to make. I loved making them.

SUNSET CARD

Here is the sunset scenery card that I was wanting to make from a long time and I finally DID it.

SUPPLIES:

Water colours
Sponges
Stamps
Post-it-notes
Black marker

I took a yellow ochre card stock and used a cut Post It Note as a mask for the sun.

Sponged yellow chrome water colour on the entire card stock(cs).

Mixed a darker orange and red color and sponged it on the upper half of the cs. Blended the centre with the sponge used for yellow chrome.Blending gives a more natural look.

Sponged black ink both on top and bottom of the cs.

Removed the Post It Note and stamped the image. Gave a little orange line on the sun

Used a black marker to border the cardstock. It acts like a faux layer.Highlighted the stamped image with orange and green markers.

Assembled everything together. Completed the card.

Quilled Wildflower

I quilled this one with my new quilling tool. Having a quilling tool makes quilling so very simple.

I glued the quilled pieces to the golden card stock. Assembled everything on the main Maroon cardstock.

I recently tried distressing for the CAS challenge card (here for the sentiment) and I must say the look it gives is great.

JUTE CIRCLE CARD

Here is a card I made by using JUTE STRING. You can use it as a base for any of your embellished or quilled cards. Here's how to do it.

Start with curling the string holding it in your hand. Use a strong glue to stick it.

Once you have an adequate size stick it to the main card. This makes the coiling process easier.

This is how it'll look after completion. Ofcourse the size of the circle depends on your preference.

Here is the close up after is added the quilled flowers and leaves.

SCS Challenge CS222

I used a brown cs and a handmade paper (glittery one) for the layers behind. For the front layer I glued a patterned paper to the yellow cardstock and added White Punched flowers. Stuck blue beads to the centre of the flower and a few other places on the patterned paper.

EXAMS ARE OVER!!

After 9 days of studying, travelling for hours, writing the 3 hrs paper everyday and very little sleep , my exams are finally over. What a RELIEF! Im glad all were good.

I want to start making so many things now.. waiting to try out new things.

My Final year exams are starting from 23rd March. Ill be finishing my graduation. Oh I still cant believe that!This is reason why Ive been really low in creating new things.
